AI Data Analysis | Make Your Data Talk

3 min read29 July 2026Updated: 21 August 2026

You have data, but your question doesn’t fit any ready-made report type — something specific to your business, like “which product group sells more in which region, and how does that relate to season.” This page is about custom data analysis questions that don’t fit a pattern: we clarify the question together, and I turn your data into a clear answer.

If your question fits one of the patterns below, that page is a faster and cheaper path:

How It Works

  1. The question gets clarified. “Analyze my data” is too broad a request; something concrete like “which product group drops in which month” gets a much faster and more accurate result. That clarification itself is part of the job.
  2. A sample gets tried first. A small sample of your data gets run through first — you see whether the approach works, and we don’t enter a large job on an abstract promise.
  3. The analysis gets scaled up. Once the sample is approved, the full dataset gets worked on.
  4. The result gets presented clearly. Not a pile of raw numbers — a summary that says “these three findings show this,” in a format you can act on.

Who This Makes Sense For

Any business whose data question doesn’t fit a ready-made pattern, but who has data at the Excel/Sheets level. This is the situation I run into most with small and mid-sized businesses without a data team — the question exists, the data exists, nobody’s building the bridge between them.

The Mistake I See Most Often

Diving into the data before the question is clear. An analysis that starts with “find something in this data” usually ends up with irrelevant or shallow findings. Without a clear question first, the result turns into charts that look impressive but don’t actually help you decide anything.

What It Does Not Do

  • It doesn’t make investment or strategic decisions. I present the finding; you make the call.
  • It doesn’t magically fix bad or incomplete data. If data quality is poor, I say so upfront — sometimes the first job is cleaning it.
  • It doesn’t profile individuals. The analysis works on aggregate/anonymized data; I don’t build a setup that targets individuals.

You Can Hire Me for This

You can hire me for this: remote, billed hourly. Timeline depends on the complexity of the question and data volume; I give you a realistic estimate after the sample run.

Frequently Asked Questions

My data is very messy — does it need cleaning first?

Usually yes, but that’s treated as a separate step — I look at a sample first and tell you how much cleaning is needed. Sometimes cleaning takes longer than the analysis itself.

How much data do I need?

Depends on the question, but the general rule is: little data doesn’t produce a reliable result. You can’t look for a year-long pattern in a few weeks of data — we assess this together during the sample review.

Do I need a tool beyond Excel?

Most analyses finish at the Excel/Google Sheets level. If data volume is large or the analysis needs to repeat regularly, I can suggest a more automated setup.

How do I receive the result?

I deliver a report summarizing the findings along with the supporting data behind it — not just a chart, but an explanation that answers “why is this happening.”
