AI Systems Maintenance & Monitoring | Monthly

2 min read29 July 2026

The job isn’t done once a chatbot or automation is deployed. The AI model it runs on gets updated, an integrated tool changes its API, or customer queries shift over time and the system gets stuck on old scenarios. If nobody’s watching, it quietly degrades — and by the time it’s noticed, it’s usually been giving wrong answers for weeks.

This service provides monthly monitoring of AI systems (chatbots, automations, agents) I’ve built or someone else has built: I track the error rate, catch declining performance, make small improvements when needed, and send you a regular report.

Why a one-time setup isn’t enough

Unlike traditional software, AI systems aren’t static. The model underneath can change, data sources get updated, user behavior can drift over time. A “built it, done” approach turns, a few months later, into a system that quietly breaks and nobody notices.

This is, in fact, a natural extension of every setup service — I think that by 2027, the real recurring work will be maintenance and monitoring, not one-time setups.

What monitoring covers

I sample the answers the system gives, look for error or inconsistency signals, and review usage statistics (how many queries, where it’s getting stuck on topics). If there’s a serious issue I intervene quickly; smaller improvements happen within the monthly maintenance scope.

Once a month I send a short report: how the system performed, what was changed, and what to watch for in the coming period.

Whose system gets looked after

If I built the setup, continuing on flows naturally. If someone else built it, I can also review and take over the system, but in that case I need to do a brief assessment first to see what I’m dealing with.

How do we start? First, we have a free 20-30 minute initial call. We talk about what you want and what’s realistic. If it works for you, I send the scope and price in writing, then we start. You can reach out via the contact page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is monthly maintenance required, or can I get a one-time improvement instead?

A one-time improvement can be done too, but the system tends to degrade again over time. Monthly maintenance catches the problem before it grows; it usually turns out more economical in the long run.

Do you also take on systems someone else built?

Yes, I first review the system to understand how it was built and what tools it uses, then we define the maintenance scope.

If an urgent issue comes up, is it handled under the monthly maintenance?

Small to medium issues are within scope. If a situation requires a major rebuild, we handle that as a separate project, and we discuss it before any surprise extra charges come up.

Who should read the report?

Usually the system’s owner or the relevant department manager. The report is written in plain language, not technical — no technical background required.
