WordPress Maintenance & Support | Your Site, Secured

3 min read29 July 2026

WordPress sites don’t break on their own, but neglect makes the chance of something breaking grow exponentially. An unupdated plugin turns into a security hole, a site with no backup can be lost entirely in a single incident, and a form that hasn’t been checked in months quietly stops sending emails — and no one notices.

The maintenance package is a regular routine built to catch most of these risks before you do. The goal isn’t scrambling to find an expert once your site breaks — it’s already having a site that’s been maintained regularly all along.

What’s included in the package?

Regular updates to WordPress core, theme, and plugins; a backup before and after every update; security scanning and suspicious-activity checks; periodic site speed measurement; small content fixes (text, image, link changes, and similar).

The scope doesn’t include large development work — a new page design or a new feature is priced as a separate job. Maintenance is aimed at keeping the existing site healthy and up to date.

Why isn’t updating risk-free?

Updating a plugin can sometimes conflict with another plugin or theme and break the site. That’s why I do updates first in a test environment (when possible) or during low-traffic hours, always with a backup taken beforehand. Checking the site after an update matters just as much as doing the update itself.

A site that isn’t updated, on the other hand, carries a growing risk over time: known security vulnerabilities get targeted by automated scanning bots. Between the two, “not touching it at all” is not the safe option.

What happens if something breaks?

Thanks to regular backups, when a problem comes up we can quickly roll the site back to its last working state. On a site with no backup, that same problem can turn into a crisis lasting days — that guarantee is actually the most concrete benefit of this package.

In an emergency (site down, suspected hack), I prioritize clients under this package. That’s the most tangible thing you get in exchange for a small monthly cost.

How do we start? First, we have a free 20-30 minute initial call. We talk about what you want and what’s realistic. If it works for you, I send the scope and price in writing, then we start. You can reach out via the contact page.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if something happens to my site without a maintenance package?

I can still help, but without priority and likely more slowly, because diagnosis has to start from scratch without an existing backup or history. The biggest advantage of the maintenance package is being prepared before a problem happens.

How many fixes am I entitled to per month?

We clarify the scope during the initial call; I don’t say “unlimited” because that isn’t realistic. A small, reasonable number of fixes is included, and bigger jobs are priced separately. A clear limit is fair to both sides.

Can I see who has accessed my site?

Yes, access history is visible through WordPress user logs and the security plugin. For transparency, I can also share a short summary of what’s been done on a regular basis, if you’d like.

I have an existing problem — should I fix that first?

Yes, if there’s an active problem (site is slow, throwing errors, possibly hacked), we first resolve that as a separate job and bring the site to a healthy state, then move into the maintenance package. Starting “maintenance” on a broken site wouldn’t be right.
