If you’ve spent years writing content, teaching courses, or developing a method, you can make that knowledge accessible through a bot. An expert bot doesn’t answer with generic knowledge — it answers with material you actually produced, responding to your audience in your voice, using your method.
Setting one up starts with deciding which material (a book, course content, articles, video transcripts) will feed the bot. The bot is then constrained so it can’t stray outside that source or invent information. What you end up with is a tool you can offer your audience as a standalone product.
How it differs from a general chatbot
Ask a general AI tool a question and you get the internet’s average answer. An expert bot is limited strictly to your material, which makes its answers both more consistent and truer to your own methods. That also cuts the risk of wrong or irrelevant answers.
During setup, I test whether the bot stays inside its source material or not — “I don’t know, that’s not in my sources” is worth far more than a made-up answer.
Who this makes sense for
This is most meaningful for trainers, consultants, authors, or anyone who has produced content in a field for years. If your material is thin (a handful of blog posts), the bot won’t be able to give rich enough answers — build up the material first, then the bot.

Does the bot really answer in my place?
It gives answers limited to your material and close to your tone, but it isn’t a system that makes decisions or thinks with your nuance. It handles simple, repetitive questions and hands off to you for anything complex.
My material is thin — is that enough?
The less material, the more limited the bot. You can start with just a few hours of content, but the result will likely be narrow in scope; as your material grows, the bot gets richer.
Who’s responsible if the bot gives wrong information?
Because the bot is grounded only in your material, the error risk is low but not zero. For anything critical (health, legal, or financial advice), I recommend you do a final review of the bot’s output yourself.
How long does setup take?
It depends on how much material you have and how organized it is; with clean, already-digitized content, setup can happen in a few weeks.
