Sales Call Analysis | Turning Recordings Into Sales Insight
What your sales team actually says on the phone or on a video call is, for most businesses, a black box. If you don’t know which objection comes up most often, which sentence closes the deal, or why a specific call was lost, improving the team stays a matter of guesswork.
Sales call analysis scans your recorded calls (with consent, and with participants informed) using AI to surface objections, missed opportunities, and phrases that actually work. This is the SMB version of what large companies now standardize as “conversation intelligence” — and it’s still uncommon in Turkey at this scale.
What We Look At
From the call recordings, we extract: the most frequent objections and how effectively they were handled, how much of the conversation was the sales rep talking versus the customer, when and how pricing came up, and the common patterns in calls that closed versus calls that were lost.
The goal isn’t to critique a single call — it’s to find the pattern across many calls and turn it into something the whole team can learn from.
How the Report Is Delivered
You don’t get a raw transcript — you get an actionable summary: the three to five most common objections along with suggested response templates, recurring phrasing patterns from calls that closed, and early warning signals from calls that were lost. This is a document you can put directly in front of the sales team in a meeting.
I recommend using this to see what works across the team as a whole, not for evaluating individual performance — otherwise it turns into a tool people get defensive about.
Consent Is Non-Negotiable
Recording and analyzing calls requires informing participants and getting the necessary consent. A setup that isn’t clear on this carries both legal risk and a trust problem. We always settle this side of things before setup begins.
The small-scale version of an approach that’s become standard at the enterprise level can make a real difference for businesses with a small sales team too, as long as it’s set up correctly.
How do we start? First, we have a free 20-30 minute initial call. We talk about what you want and what’s realistic. If it looks like a good fit, I send you the scope and price in writing, then we begin. You can reach me through the contact page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is recording calls legal?
In Turkey, recording a call requires informing the other party and getting their consent. Skipping this carries legal risk; during setup, we put together the right disclosure language and consent process together.
Is the analysis used to fire the sales rep?
I don’t build or recommend it for that purpose. The right use is finding what works across the team and teaching it to everyone. Using it to punish individuals damages both team morale and a culture of honest feedback.
How many calls need to be analyzed for a meaningful result?
Generalizing from a single call is misleading. Meaningful patterns need at least a few dozen calls accumulated. During the initial call, we work out a realistic timeline based on your actual call volume.
Does this make sense for a small sales team?
If the team is small, the benefit can be more limited, because it takes time to accumulate enough data to extract a pattern. For a one-person sales process, direct one-on-one coaching may get you faster results than this kind of analysis.
