Book Writing Support | From Draft to Publication
Many people have carried a book idea in their heads for years without it ever making it onto paper. The problem usually isn’t a lack of ideas — it’s not knowing where to start, not being able to work with discipline, or not being able to build the structure that turns text into a whole. This service exists to fill exactly that gap.
Together, we first work out a chapter plan, then I support you through the writing process — you write or narrate, I hold the structure, flow, and consistency together. In the final stage, we also handle editing and publication prep together.
Chapter Plan: The Book’s Skeleton
Before writing begins, we clarify what the book will cover, in what order, and what each chapter is meant to do. Skip this step and the book usually stalls halfway — because the writer loses track of where it’s going.
The plan isn’t a rigid mold; it can change as the writing progresses. But moving forward without an initial skeleton is like setting out without a map.
Writing Support: Do You Write, or Do I?
This is a preference that varies by person. Some people write their own draft and want editing and structural support from me; others prefer to talk it through, and I turn that into writing. Both work — what matters is that the book carries your voice.
Throughout the process, we do regular progress checks (weekly or biweekly). This is the most practical way to keep a project from stalling indefinitely.
Editing and Publication Prep
Once the draft is complete, we do a pass on language, flow, and consistency. During publication prep, we work through formatting and cover/print options together (self-publishing included) — we discuss which path fits you, I don’t push a single option.
Throughout this process, the book stays yours — copyright and decision-making authority remain entirely with you.
How do we start? First, a free 20–30 minute intro call. We talk about what you want and what’s realistic. If it makes sense, I send you the scope and price in writing, then we begin. Reach me through the contact page.
Frequently Asked Questions
I have no writing experience — can I still do this?
Yes, many of my clients had never written a book before. We can proceed with the narrate-and-transcribe method; you don’t need writing experience if you have a story or knowledge worth sharing.
How long does it take to finish a book?
It depends on the length of the book and your own pace — typically anywhere from a few months to a year. I don’t impose a fixed timeline, but we set up a rhythm together for steady progress.
Do you work on fiction, self-help, or memoir — which genres do you cover?
I mostly work on self-help, expertise/knowledge books, and memoir — because these are usually where the “it’s in my head but I can’t write it” situation shows up most. I can support fiction too, but I’ll say upfront it’s not my strongest area.
Do you also help me publish the book?
I can guide you through self-publishing — format, platform choice, and similar decisions. Selling a book to a publisher is a different process requiring separate expertise; I can offer guidance there, but I can’t guarantee an outcome.
