Business Plan Writing | Ready for Banks and Investors

3 min read29 July 2026

When a business plan is requested, most people’s first move is to download a template online and fill in the blanks. The problem is that the bank or investor has already seen that template dozens of times, and the moment the numbers don’t add up, it’s obvious.

I build the business plan on your business’s real data: if you have existing revenue statements, I start from those; if not, I start from realistic assumptions. The financial projection section shouldn’t be dressed up — it needs to be defensible, because the other side is going to ask questions.

It starts with a call

The first step is a one-hour call: I listen to your business, your market, your numbers. I don’t write a business plan without this call, because a plan padded with generic sentences won’t convince any bank.

After the call, I put together the draft quickly using an AI-assisted process, but I verify every number and every claim with you. The goal isn’t speed — it’s an accurate, consistent document.

Where the financial projection comes from

If the business is already operating, we build growth assumptions from past data. If it’s a new venture, we work from industry averages and your concrete plans (how many customers, what price, what cost). I don’t put in made-up numbers like “2 million in revenue in year one” — I want every line to have a reason behind it.

Since this is the part banks and investors scrutinize most, it’s where we spend the most time.

It ends with revisions

After the first draft, there’s usually one or two rounds of revision — either you correct a detail, or the target institution (bank, a government agency, an investor) asks for something in a specific format. These rounds are included in the scope, no surprise extra charges.

How do we start? We start with a free 20-30 minute intro call. We talk about what you want and what’s realistic. If it looks like a fit, I send the scope and price in writing, then we start. Reach me via the contact page.

Frequently Asked Questions

My business idea is still just on paper — can this still be done?

Yes, actually this is the most common case I get requests for. Sharpening the idea and turning it into numbers is the bulk of what I do; you just need to explain the idea.

Does this guarantee bank approval?

No, nobody can guarantee that — the approval decision belongs to the bank or investor. What I do is make sure the plan isn’t rejected for being incomplete, inconsistent, or unconvincing.

Is a grant application prepared separately?

A government grant program has its own format and questions, different from a general business plan. I have a separate service for grant application prep — best not to mix the two.

How does pricing work?

It depends on the complexity of the work and the level of financial detail needed. I give you a firm price after listening to your business in the intro call.
