Can AI write pleadings?
It can produce templates and drafts, generating a first draft based on your previous, similar pleadings. But the legal accuracy and strategy of the content is always determined and approved by the lawyer. This is a writing assistant, not a decision-maker.
Could our client information leak out?
I build the setup specifically to minimize that risk: which data is processed on which system, retention periods, and access permissions are all defined upfront. I never recommend pasting files directly into general-purpose, free AI tools.
Does this setup make sense for a small firm, or is it only for large ones?
The opposite, actually — the time savings are more noticeable at small firms handling a lot of files with few lawyers. Large firms usually already have their own internal systems; for a small firm, this can mean setting up a proper archive for the first time.
