AI UGC Ad Videos | Influencer-Free Content
UGC-style videos — content where a person, on their phone, describes a product in a casual tone — have converted better than studio shoots in ads in recent years, because to the viewer it feels like a recommendation, not an ad. The catch is that producing real UGC — finding the right person, shipping the product, coordinating the content — takes time.
AI UGC produces this style with artificial intelligence: without a real influencer, we create short videos that mimic UGC’s casual tone and test them directly in ads. On Fiverr this is now its own category called “AI UGC” — a reflection of the search for a fast content pipeline in e-commerce.
Why It Works
“Ads that don’t look like ads” have consistently performed better in advertising in recent years. The UGC style lowers the viewer’s defensive reflex because it gives the impression of an ordinary user talking, not a brand. AI UGC tries to capture this effect while skipping the process of finding a real content creator.
It offers a fast way to test in particular for visually describable e-commerce products — cosmetics, accessories, home goods.
How It’s Produced
We identify your product’s features and target message, then produce a short video (15-30 seconds) with a casual, natural tone using AI avatar or voice tools. Visually it’s not as polished as a real user-shot video, but it’s good enough to test in ads.
We produce multiple variations (different angles, different messages) and test them in ads to measure which one actually converts — we never rely on a single video.
Transparency and Limits
Trying to hide that AI UGC isn’t a real user is both an ethical problem and potentially against some platforms’ ad policies. I don’t present these videos as “a real customer review” — I position them as “a casual-tone product introduction.” That distinction matters.
If you already have real customer reviews, I’ll always prefer using them as genuine UGC over AI UGC — the real thing is always stronger. AI UGC is a tool for a fast start when real content hasn’t accumulated yet.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can we present these videos as real customer reviews?
I don’t recommend it. Presenting something that isn’t real as if it were real creates a trust issue and can violate advertising regulations in some countries. I recommend using the videos as product introductions, without hiding what they are.
How is this different from working with a real influencer?
A real influencer has an organic relationship with their own audience, and that generally creates a stronger effect. AI UGC is a faster, cheaper alternative but it doesn’t always deliver the same trust. I think of the two as suited to different needs, not as substitutes for each other.
Which products does it work better for?
It performs better for products that are visually simple and easy to describe in use (cosmetics, small accessories, home goods). For products requiring complex, technical explanation, this format can be limited.
How many videos should I start testing with?
I recommend at least a few variations (different messages or angles), because it’s not possible to tell what’s working from a single video. In the preliminary call, I suggest a realistic test package based on your budget.
