I build a recruitment application that connects the position, applicant and interview, with a named owner for the next action. The aim is to make your team’s process visible. This service does not assign AI suitability scores or automatically reject candidates. It records the decisions people make and the interviews they arrange. If a ready-made applicant tracking system already fits the process, I assess that option before recommending custom development. ## Example: A-17’s designer interview In the fictional illustration, **A-17** has applied for a designer role. Screening is complete, the next interview is **8 October at 14:00**, and **Ece** owns the record. CV access is limited to the HR team. Seeing an interview appointment does not automatically grant permission to download the candidate’s files. A second applicant, **A-18**, is waiting. Completing A-17’s interview does not advance A-18 or close the position. Each application has its own state. If one person applies for another vacancy, the new application should not overwrite the earlier interview and decision history. ## Define transitions as well as stage names I adapt stages such as received, screening, interview booked and awaiting decision to your process. A calendar appointment is not proof that an interview took place. Rescheduling should display the new time while retaining the earlier plan in the record history. An interviewer can be restricted to assigned candidates and the information needed for the meeting. HR notes, shared interview feedback and uploaded documents may require different access. Retention, exports and deletion requests are defined in scope. Having an application does not automatically establish compliance with every applicable requirement. ## When the spreadsheet remains suitable A well-maintained list may be enough when one person handles a few positions. As access needs become more specific, file permissions need careful consideration. Google explains that [protected ranges are not a security measure](https://support.google.com/docs/answer/1218656?hl=en). In a custom application, restricted notes and CVs must only be delivered to authorised users; merely hiding a column is insufficient. ## Making the scope testable I start with a de-identified example of your current file or screen and the roles of the people using it. The written scope defines where each field comes from, who can change it and where the result goes. I test interviewer, HR and any external applicant access separately. Rescheduling A-17 must not affect A-18, and the earlier appointment should remain in the appropriate history. The scope also covers exports, the backup approach and who handles failures. We review the first version against one real workflow before planning further connections. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### Do applicants need their own accounts? Not necessarily. The first version can serve the internal team only. An external application form or candidate portal can be added with its own identity and visibility rules if required. ### Can one candidate apply for several positions? Yes. I separate the person from each application. Interview stages and decisions belong to the relevant position, while changes to shared contact information have a clear scope. ### Will the application assess CVs automatically? This workflow does not include automated scoring or rejection. It manages documents, interviews and human-entered feedback. Your hiring team remains responsible for the decision. ## Discuss your workflow To let applicants check their own progress, see the [application status portal](https://oguzerol.com/en/application-status-tracking-portal/). Work-hour packages Tell me about your business and what you need on WhatsApp or by phone; we agree on **a work block of somewhere between 5 and 40 hours** and I start doing what is needed. What you get is not a calendar window — it is net working hours spent directly on your business. I can use 40 hours working three days straight, or deliberately spread it out and finish it over a year — whatever the work calls for. I do not spend my time estimating how long something will take, I spend it doing the work; every hour I spend leaves a lasting result in your business. We keep going for as long as you find it useful. WORK BLOCKS ## Why not monthly? Is 40 hours a week? On a fixed monthly fee both sides are watching the wrong thing: you watch a fixed cost, the other side watches how many more contracts like this they can line up. Working by the hour puts us both in front of the same thing — the real value of the work that got done. I know not having an upfront answer to "how much will this cost in total?" is the natural cost of this model. But instead of paying a fixed fee for months to a setup that is not producing results, you only pay for the qualified time spent on your work — and you see exactly where that time went, start to finish. That is why my clients keep coming back. 5hours300€ + VAT60€ per hour[Choose this block](https://wa.me/905496546489?text=Hi%2C%20I%27d%20like%20info%20about%20the%205-hour%20work%20block.) 10hours500€ + VAT50€ per hour[Choose this block](https://wa.me/905496546489?text=Hi%2C%20I%27d%20like%20info%20about%20the%2010-hour%20work%20block.) 20hours800€ + VAT40€ per hour[Choose this block](https://wa.me/905496546489?text=Hi%2C%20I%27d%20like%20info%20about%20the%2020-hour%20work%20block.) 40hours1,400€ + VAT35€ per hour[Choose this block](https://wa.me/905496546489?text=Hi%2C%20I%27d%20like%20info%20about%20the%2040-hour%20work%20block.)
