# Sheet Stack support

## Start a merge

1. After installation becomes available, open a Google Sheets spreadsheet and open Sheet Stack from Extensions.
2. Select at least two visible tabs. Put nonblank, unique column headers in the first row of each tab.
3. Arrange tab order, name the output and optionally include a source-sheet column.
4. Prepare the preview and inspect the counts, missing columns and first 20 output data rows.
5. Create the output. Wait for the result message before retrying.

## Prepare your source tables

Headers are matched after trimming spaces and remain case-sensitive: “Name” and “name” are different columns. Different column orders are supported. Missing columns become blanks; duplicate rows are kept. Formula results are copied as values.

Version 0.1.0 allows 5,000 total source data rows and 100 output columns, including an optional source column. Data-row limits use the selected tabs’ used ranges before blank-row removal. Unmerge cells in those ranges first. Blank tabs, blank headers and duplicate headers are rejected.

## Preview expired or source changed

Previews are usable for 15 minutes. Prepare a fresh preview if it expires, a source changes, or the output name is taken after previewing. Check the new preview before creating the output.

## Large merge or partial output

Large merges may take a minute or longer, depending on the spreadsheet and Google’s platform. Keep the panel open and wait for the result message. A partial-output error names the tab to inspect. If the output is unwanted, delete that output tab and prepare a fresh preview. The add-on does not edit selected source tabs.

## Stop using Sheet Stack

Uninstall the add-on and revoke access in your Google account connections. Generated output tabs remain until you delete them. Revoking access does not itself guarantee immediate deletion of Google platform metadata.
